TwinCAT Vision: integrating image processing into automation
As the eye of the robot, TwinCAT Vision integrates all the image processing applications into the PC-based control platform: from detection, measurement and identification through to pick-and-place and quality checking. Engineering takes place directly in the PLC. The open control system allows the connection of freely selectable line-scan and areascan cameras with support for the GigE vision standard.

The series of ultra-compact Industrial PCs meets all the requirements of advanced machine construction. Exactly scalable in terms of computing power, extremely compact in design and flexibly mountable, it is suitable for a wide range of automation, visualisation and communication tasks. The C6015 offers sufficient computing power for use as an IoT Edge device: from collecting, processing and providing process data to the more complex tasks of an IoT gateway. The C6017 complements the series by integrating a larger number of interfaces and a UPS. The C6030, which combines high-end computing power with an ultra-compact design, is suitable for applications with the highest performance requirements.

With the EL922x EtherCAT Terminal series, Beckhoff integrates electronic overcurrent protection for protecting 24 V DC system components in a highly compact manner into the EtherCAT system. This enables transparent system monitoring, minimised downtimes, simplified troubleshooting and an optimal overview of the system history. Another advantage of the system-integrated solution is its small footprint compared to conventional solutions.

The AMP8000 integrates the Servo Drive directly in the servomotor in a very compact design. By shifting the power electronics to the machine, the space requirement in the control cabinet is reduced to a single coupling module that supplies several servo drives with just one cable via a distribution module.
