Resource efficiency was one of the key topics of the Anuga FoodTec 2018 trade show, which came to a successful close on 23 March. On its booth, Beckhoff demonstrated how to implement efficient resource management with XTS Hygienic, the stainless steel version of the XTS linear transport system. The drive solution combines the advantages of rotary and linear systems and provides them for demanding environmental conditions. It supports maximum flexibility and high production speeds, enabling a reduced system footprint at the same time. As a standardised hardware and software platform, which integrates PLC, motion control, machine vision, measurement and process technology, PC- and EtherCAT-based control technology offers everything it takes to implement resource-saving production processes and individualised product concepts.
