Bus Terminal Application Examples
Individual room control
Einzelraumregelung   Individual room control that is adapted to the building has a significant influence on the well-being and therefore the productivity of the occupants.
-Due to the modularity of the Beckhoff Bus Terminals, room functions can be controlled quickly andindividually.
- Retrofitting of building functionalities at a later date is relatively straightforward.

Facade
Fassade   The Bus Terminal is eminently suitable for building facade control. All drives can be connected directly at the Bus Terminals:
- The KL2722 output terminals use a power switch to control mains voltage from 12 V to 230 V AC.
- The KM2774 KM module enables direct connection of up to 4 AC blind motors with reversal of rotation direction and a further travel function.
- Digital input terminals monitor changes in status, such as local manual operation, attempted break-ins or broken
glass.
- Analog Bus Terminals can be used for weather and lighting analysis.

EIB Bus Terminal
EIB-Busklemme   EIB (European Installation Bus) is a bus system that is widely used for building automation:
- The relevant telegrams for the Beckhoff controller application program are specified via 4 filters of the KL6301 EIB terminal.
- filter configuration with start address and length of group address
- maximum length per filter: 64
- up to 256 group addresses
- Further Bus Terminals can be integrated if more than 256 group addresses are required.
- data communication with the Beckhoff controller and for configuring the filters via an IEC 61131-3 library

LON Bus Terminal
LON-Busklemme   LON (Local Operating Network) is a multinetwork-capable communication system that is predominately used for automation applications in commercial buildings:
- LON devices communicate with each other via the Neuron microcontroller.
- The KL6401 supports up to 62 SNVTs (standard network variable types) that are freely selectable from more than 170 SNVTs.
- Creation of an XIF file for configuration via a LON tool; no additional plug-in required.
- Further LON Bus Terminals can be integrated if more than 62 SNVTs are required.
- data communication with the Beckhoff controller and for configuring the filters via an IEC 61131-3 library
