Flexible star topologies with EK1101 EtherCAT coupler and
2-port EK1122 EtherCAT junction

The 2-port EK1122 EtherCAT junction offers a convenient way of setting up an EtherCAT star topology. Through TwinCAT and other suitable EtherCAT masters the EK1122 also supports coupling and uncoupling of EtherCAT strands during operation (Hot Connect). For Hot Connect operation an EK1101 EtherCAT Coupler is required for coupling or decoupling the I/O station. The EK1101 has three hexadecimal ID switches for assigning an ID to a group of EtherCAT components. Both the EK1101 and the EK1122 are available from stock.
