TR4000 | CX Training: Introduction for PLC programmers

Course aims are handling and PLC programming of the CX Embedded PC. The target group are PLC programmers wishing to migrate from a hardware PLC to the CX. All basic steps – from the first switching-on of the CX to the creation of a PLC project – are explained. An overview of further application options for the CX, such as Connectivity, TwinCAT NC PTP and HMI, is provided.

– commissioning of the CX at the programming PC, establishing a connection, network settings

– TwinCAT system manager, remote function

– basic introduction to IEC 61131-3 with focus on “Structured Text”

– example programs: controlling the CX display, data remanence, ADS blocks for data exchange between CX devices and BC/IPC

– diagnostic tools: TwinCAT Scope, ADS debugger

– CX handling: auto-start of the PLC program, re-loading the PLC-source code from the CX, project compare

– outlook: additional functions and application options of the CX: communication and HMI options, positioning
