The latest build of TwinCAT 2.10 adds further features to the software package. The Motion Control functionality of TwinCAT NC PTP was significantly extended. The new TcMc2.lib enables users to utilise the new blocks and features defined by PLCopen. One of the new features is the option to buffer or blend individual movements. The new axis reference AXIS_REF handling and the possibility of using specific options as blocks simplify working with axes and blocks in the new library.
Smooth, continuous transitions between cam plates can be achieved with an automatic offset (auto-offset) and automatic scaling for master and slave. Application programmers now no longer have to explicitly calculate the transition conditions themselves, but can simply specify switching ‘rules’.
Linear coupling between slave and master has been available for some time. As a new feature, several masters (up to four) can now be coupled to a slave. In this way, almost any structure can be configured. The coupling factors can be changed dynamically.
