Die Beckhoff Lichtlösung bietet viele Vorteile, die unter anderem eine einfache Inbetriebnahme von DALI-Lichtsteuerungen ermöglichen. Bei ausgedehnten Beleuchtungsanlagen können dezentral im Netzwerk installierte Buskoppler eingesetzt werden, wodurch sich der Verkabelungsaufwand erheblich reduziert. Die TwinCAT 3 Lighting Solution unterstützt Funktionen wie z. B. die Fernbedienung per Web, den Import und Export von Excel-Daten oder einfache Wartungsmaßnahmen. Mit inbegriffen sind Funktionen für Human Centric Lighting (HCL) sowie die Integration von DALI-2-Sensoren. All diese Funktionen sind auch ohne Programmierkenntnisse einfach zu konfigurieren.
