Beckhoff implements open automation systems using proven PC-based control technology. The main areas that the product range covers are industrial PCs, I/O and fieldbus components, drive technology, automation software, control cabinet-free automation, and hardware for machine vision.

Responsibilities

  • work with territory sales management to identify a list of strategic target accounts (3-5) and focus on developing strong relationships leading to discovering, developing and closing sales opportunities
  • lead multi-discipline Beckhoff sales teams as needed to close high potential OEM projects or conversions improve proposal to production success rate through relationship management, project ownership, driving communication and accountability
  • maintain and expand key decision maker relationships with a defined list of strategic existing accounts (1-2) where required (account needs a fresh face/higher level attention/SE gap)
  • drive specifications at the corporate level for industrial automation products with emphasis on total Beckhoff application solutions
  • obtain placement on approved vendor lists
  • involve Industry Managers to help identify Key Applications that can be replicated across customer sites, and across the broader industry

Qualifications

  • hunter mentality with new account development skills and experience
  • strong personality and ability to hold customer accountable and participate in candid conversation when required
  • experience and ability to manage conflict (things rarely goes as planned)
  • ability to collaborate and build strong relationships internally
  • experience developing account plans
  • ability to lead a multi-discipline Team: Define and communicate roles and responsibilities, develop opportunity specifications, develop and maintain opportunity timeline and, milestones, develop customer documentation (BOMs, etc.)
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • highly organized
  • problem solver
  • experience with a utilized sales methodology (doesn’t matter which one, but must utilize some type of methodology)
