TwinCAT Analytics One-Klick Dashboard

The TwinCAT 3 Analytics Workbench is a TC3 engineering product for the creation of continual data analyses from various spatially distributed machine controllers. The configuration of the workbench is integrated in Microsoft Visual Studio® and serves as the graphic user interface. Many algorithms are available in a toolbox for the configuration of the analysis:

  • cycle time monitoring
  • life count
  • lifetime
  • minimum/maximum/mean value
  • RMS value
  • correlation functions
  • DenStream algorithms

The TwinCAT 3 Analytics Workbench contains the TE1300 TwinCAT 3 Scope View Professional for the simple visualization of the signal curves: The user can drag the analysis results from the analytics configurator and drop them into the charting tool in order to mark significant points in the data stream. Such markings can be simple minima or maxima, counter values or, for example, the results of a logic operator that logically links the results from the machine controller so that they can be found in the data stream. Correlation with other signals in the Scope View is thus possible to the exact cycle.

The MQTT input data are selected via the TwinCAT Target Browser, in which live data and, via the TF3520 TwinCAT 3 Analytics Storage Provider, historical data are available. If the created analysis is complete and has been tested in the graphic editor, this configuration can be converted into readable PLC code and an HTML5-based dashboard with just one click. Both can be downloaded directly to the TwinCAT 3 Analytics Runtime TF3550, where it can run 24/7 in parallel to the actual production machine and supply analysis results. PLC and HMI projects are generated completely transparently, so that individualization can also always be carried out subsequently. This allows the use of further Beckhoff standard PLC libraries and own HMI controls can be used to create the ideal display for machine operators, production managers and machine manufacturers.
