TR5050 | TwinCAT 3 Training: Building automation programming with BACnet and TwinCAT HMI
The focus of this training is on IEC 61131-3 programming and the communication options under TwinCAT. The training is both aimed at advanced PLC programmers who are switching to the TwinCAT system and beginners with basic programming skills.
In the second part of the course (day 4 and 5), you will learn basics of the BACnet communication protocol as well as the programming and commissioning of BACnet applications with TwinCAT 3 Building Automation Software (TF8040).

- TwinCAT PLC: TwinCAT handling, IEC 61131-3 programming
- TwinCAT ADS: communication interface, high-level language communication
- introduction to the communication between TwinCAT control systems
- BACnet basics and possible implementation scenarios
- BACnet basics in context with the TwinCAT 3 development environment
- getting to know the TC3 BA TwinCAT Library
Requirements
- assured handling of Windows operating systems
- basic programming skills in PLC programming
- knowledge of PLC programming with high-level languages, such as e.g. variable declaration, variable classes and structures
- basic knowledge of building automation
