Efficient automation solutions for the plastics industry

The plastics industry is facing new challenges: At K 2022 in Dusseldorf from October 19 to 26, Beckhoff will be showing how to increase machine productivity with PC- and EtherCAT-based control technology, whilst also reducing consumption of resources. The range of applications extends from injection molding, blow molding and extrusion to additive manufacturing and integration of production cells. As a highlight, this year we will present a modular software solution for control and visualization with the TwinCAT 3 Plastic Framework, which minimizes development effort and maintains the open nature of Beckhoff architecture. The TwinCAT 3 Plastic Framework brings together Beckhoff’s many years of expertise in plastics, seamlessly integrating important industry-specific control functions into the TwinCAT environment. Furthermore, another focus is integration of Euromap/OPC UA as a global language for plastics machines.
