The IE2042 digital output module connects the binary control signals from the automation unit on to the actuators at the process level. The eight outputs handle load currents of up to 2 A each, although the total current is limited to 12 A. The outputs are supplied by three load circuits; for this reason this module does not relay the supply voltage.
The signal state is indicated by means of light emitting diodes. The signals are connected via M12 screw type connectors.
The outputs are short-circuit-proof and protected against inverse connection.
