CX2500-0062 | 2.5 Gbit Ethernet module for CX20xx, CX52x0, CX53x0, CX56x0
The system modules are connected to the CPU on the left-hand side via a multi-pin connector. They are connected internally via PCI Express®. A maximum of two modules can be connected in any order for the CX20xx family. For CX52x0, CX53x0, or CX56x0 series devices, one module can be connected, and only the upper module port can be used, as these CPUs only have one PCI Express® lane on the left-hand side.
The CX2500-0062 module provides two independent Ethernet interfaces. The implemented Intel® Ethernet Controller I226 supports data transfer rates of up to 2.5 Gbit/s. This makes the module useful for applications that require very high data rates and short reaction times.
