The I/O modules in the MX-System offer a wide choice for all signal types and directions. The MO5162-0000-1112 is an interface for connecting two 24 V incremental encoders (24 V HTL) with A, B, and C tracks. It is used to evaluate input frequencies up to 100 kHz as well as implement period, frequency, or speed measurements with a resolution of 10 ns. Two additional 24 V digital inputs per channel are available for saving, locking, and setting the counter value. Alternatively, the MO5162-0000-1112 can be used as an up/down counter. The encoders can be supplied with 24 V DC, equipped with electronic protection, directly via the connection points of the module. The signal state is shown on the display; the signal interface is established via screw-type M12 connectors.
