The AM8800 stainless steel servomotors and the AM8700 anodized servomotors are fully compatible with the high requirements in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries with respect to optimum cleaning, resistance to aggressive cleaning agents, heavy mechanical loads and adverse environmental conditions. With their absolutely edge-free design these motors reduce the costs for machine manufacturers and users to a minimum.

A hygienic design drive axis does not always end at the stainless steel shaft of the motor; the use of a gearbox is often absolutely necessary. The same requirements apply here as to the stainless steel servomotors. All gearbox materials that come into contact with the environment exhibit high resistance to a large number of aggressive CIP (Cleaning in Place) cleaning media. The dead-space-free design, the smooth surface, the round motor adapter and the high resistance to corrosion of the gearboxes make the AM8800 and the AM8700 a perfectly matched and certified hygienic design servo axis. The planetary gear units are fitted to the respective motor in the factory and delivered as a complete motor/gear unit.
