In order to be able to move hydraulic axes in the same way as servo axes with TwinCAT NC PTP, the characteristic curve of a hydraulic valve, which is usually non-linear, must be linearized. The TwinCAT Valve Diagram Editor with graphical interface can be used for this purpose.

On the basis of a few base points, straight lines or 5th degree polynomials can be determined that connect the points. Once the characteristic curve has been linearized, it can be loaded into the TwinCAT NC real-time and taken into account there. This allows hydraulic axes to be controlled in a similar way to servo axes.
