Rethinking automation

The MX-System makes it possible to achieve totally control cabinet-free automation of machines and systems for the first time ever. To this end, Beckhoff has bundled over four decades of automation expertise into a modular system that performs all of the tasks and exhibits the features of a classic control cabinet:

  • energy supply, fuse protection, and distribution
  • generation and fuse protection of auxiliary voltages
  • sequence control with the inputs and outputs
  • motor and actuator control
  • connection level for field devices

The application-specific automation solutions are generated by combining baseplate and pluggable function modules from the IPC, coupler, I/O, drive, relay and system sectors. As all components are certified in accordance with international standards, a worldwide standardization of control systems can be realized.
