The ED9410 power supply terminal is used to refresh the E-bus via which the data exchange between EtherCAT Couplers and Terminals takes place. Each EtherCAT Terminal requires a certain current from the E-bus (see “E-bus | Current consumption”). This current is fed into the E-bus by the power supply unit of the respective EtherCAT Coupler. For configurations with a large number of EtherCAT Terminals, the ED9410 can be used to increase the power supply to the E-bus by 2 A. In addition to the E-bus refresh, a 24 V DC supply can be provided for the power contacts with up to 10 A. The ED9410 has diagnostics displayed by LED and in the process image.
The ED series EtherCAT Terminals have push-in connection technology which makes wiring easy and tool-free.
