The TwinCAT architecture can be moved completely into the cloud with TwinCAT Cloud Engineering. Access to existing engineering and runtime products is possible via the Beckhoff Internet. Users simply need to have a web browser so that operating system platforms not previously supported can be used. Registered users can create new TwinCAT Cloud Engineering instances with their user login. Real control hardware is linked to the created instances via a secure transport channel. Collaboration between cloud and on-premise users is realized via integrated source control mechanisms.
