Beckhoff implements open automation systems using proven PC-based control technology. The main areas that the product range covers are industrial PCs, I/O and fieldbus components, drive technology, automation software, control cabinet-free automation, and hardware for machine vision.
We are a representative office in Pune, India, and we are actively expanding our team and looking for a suitable application engineer.
Responsibilities
- vision system development-develop algorithms for Machine Vision Inspection system
- develop vision logic using computer vision or similar, PLC-based vision (TwinCAT Vision etc.)
- image preprocessing
- integrate vision systems with PLCs, Robots, Motion system
- develop machine programs according to customer specifications
- offering standard and custom training to support Beckhoff products and projects
- documentation and recording of all project activities
- maintain a high degree of relevant technical knowledge to fulfil the listed job responsibilities
- advise customers on proper technology selection, use, maintenance, and training for specific applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology (E Electronics / Mechatronics / Robotics / Computer Science) Or equivalent practical experience
- 2 to 6 years of work experience
- understanding of machine vision fundamentals
- hands-on experience with Industrial cameras & lighting, Image processing and computer vision
- proficiency in at least one of C++ / Python, PLC Structured Text (preferred for industrial roles)
- understanding of PLCs, motion controllers, robotics, distributed I/O, fieldbus systems (EtherCAT) and HMI technologies
- previous technical training and / or Beckhoff Automation experience
- visual Studio and/or object-oriented programming (OOP) in automation
- strong analytical and reasoning skills to collaborate in a fast-paced, action-oriented team
- excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present to customers, companywide, and/or departmental meetings in English
