Backup and restore are important for every controller – a PC image common in IT is not always sufficient for this.

Files, directories, OS-specific information, settings and TwinCAT configurations can be backed up and restored using the TwinCAT Backup Server. This can be done on all connected media as well as via the network. In addition to the pure file transfer, registry settings can be backed up/restored or complete installations can be carried out automatically and without the user's intervention.
