As of April 1st 2019, Beckhoff Automation takes over ADL Embedded Solutions GmbH with its company headquarters located in Siegen, Germany. ADL is a renowned specialist for “deep embedded” applications based on motherboards and specially adapted peripherals.
ADL Embedded Solutions works with clients to develop custom-designed and turnkey embedded solutions. For many years, these projects have been based on industrial motherboards from Beckhoff. This successful cooperation finds its logical conclusion in the takeover of ADL by Beckhoff. Hans Beckhoff, Managing Director of Beckhoff Automation, is proud of this step: “With ADL, a highly successful embedded specialist joins the Beckhoff group. Beckhoff has been developing and manufacturing motherboards and Industrial PCs for almost 30 years, while ADL possesses extensive application experience. Together, this makes us an outstanding embedded partner for many applications!”
Martin Kristof, Managing Director of ADL, is also convinced of the synergy effects generated by even closer collaboration: “Integrating high-quality industrial motherboards from Beckhoff has long been a guarantee for the success of the many customer projects. The takeover now enables us to handle development jobs for globally operating customers and support our customers even better with specifically designed Industrial PCs.” Under the management of Martin Kristof, ADL will continue to operate at its existing location in Siegen with currently 12 employees.
