PC Control is Beckhoff Automation's international customer magazine, published four times a year and supplemented by additional special issues. It covers the full spectrum of New Automation Technology topics, primarily with expert interviews and technical articles on new products and technologies as well as inspiring reports on customer applications across the globe.

PC-based control's success story celebrates a double anniversary in this issue of Beckhoff's customer magazine: PC-based control itself turns 40 and has a special devoted to it, and TwinCAT celebrates its 30th birthday. We give a short overview of the technical advancement here and introduce the numerous Beckhoff employees behind these innovations, along with the ten biggest advantages of PC-based control. The main focus remains on our commitment to continuous development; two current product innovations which have recently been put into practice are testaments to this: XPlanar, the intelligent transport system, is being used by Bonfiglioli Engineering, Glanzer cosmetic engineering, and Aalborg University, and the MX-System for control cabinet-free automation is being implemented by Aumann and Bürkert.
