
Like a standard motor protection relay the KL8001 power terminal is fitted to a power contactor up to a switching capacity of 5.5 kW. With regard to its connection mechanism, it is especially suitable for Siemens contactors of the Sirius 3R (switch size 500, type 3RT 10 1) series. The power terminal switches the installed contactor and takes over all the functions of the motor protection relay. Apart from its purely protective function of switching off the motor when overloaded, the power terminal can carry out numerous diagnostic functions on the motor. Via the connection with the KL9060 adapter terminal, the data is made available to the controller via the fieldbus.
