C9900-L102 | License key for TwinCAT 3.1, 2nd generation, with RTC

TwinCAT licenses can be managed via license key devices in TwinCAT 3.1.

The C9900-L102 is equipped with a local data memory for storing TwinCAT 3.1 license files, a proximity sensor for presence detection, and a replaceable battery (button cell). The device is also available with licenses pre-installed ex factory under the product number C9900-L102-0033.

Security technology is constantly being developed to improve protection against attacks. Therefore, the 2nd generation Beckhoff license key products implement improved and updated cryptographic algorithms which pave the way for cryptographic agility and offer a presence sensor. They thus constitute a reliable, state-of-the-art license anchor. In addition, the 2nd generation provides time-based license functions through the optional RTC (real-time clock).

The device family includes:

• 2 EtherCAT Terminals for stationary use: EL6071 without RTC, EL6072 with battery-supported RTC
• 2 USB sticks for mobile use: C9900-L101 without RTC, C9900-L102 with battery-supported RTC

The 2nd generation will be supported in future TwinCAT 3.1 builds 4026 and higher.
