Machine commissioning using TwinCAT Analytics

The TwinCAT Analytics product family describes a complete workflow: from the acquisition, communication, and historization of data to its evaluation and presentation in web-based dashboards. In this webinar, Pascal Dresselhaus (Product Manager TwinCAT) and Tobias Kramer (Support and Training) will show that TwinCAT Analytics products are not just intended for use in the broad IoT and Industrie 4.0 environment.

Specifically, the focus is on how TwinCAT Analytics can be embedded in the general TwinCAT Engineering workflow. This includes solving typical tasks from the field of machine commissioning and looking at how analytics can save valuable time in case of service. With many practical insights into TwinCAT Analytics tooling, the webinar is aimed at application developers, machine commissioning engineers, and service personnel.

TF3500 | TwinCAT 3 Analytics Logger

The TwinCAT 3 Analytics Logger ensures the cycle-synchronous acquisition of process and application data from the machine controller. The logger is characterized by high performance because it works directly in the real-time context of the TwinCAT controller. The data acquired is optionally transmitted to a message broker via the IoT communication protocol MQTT or stored locally in a file on the hard drive of the machine control and recorded with ring buffer functionality. The configuration necessary for this is done in Microsoft Visual Studio® within the TwinCAT project. All variables of the process image and the PLC application can easily be added to the configuration via checkbox without any programming effort.
