There are no standard tools available on the market to perform updates on CE devices. The TwinCAT Management Server enables the central administration of Beckhoff CE controllers. Software updates can be installed from a central location to controllers with the Windows CE operating system existing in the network. In addition to operating system updates, control components (e.g., PLC boot projects) can also be installed. By the option of separating known network devices into groups, individual actions can be defined for each group.
