The EL5001-0012 EtherCAT Terminal allows simulation of single-turn and multi-turn SSI encoders with gray or binary code output and a maximum transmission rate of 2 MHz. This makes it possible to generate a position response to an externally generated SSI controller signal in applications where no SSI encoder is physically present. Extensive parameterization options allow optimum simulation of different encoder types.
