The EL9501 and EL9561 power supply terminals generate an adjustable output voltage from the 24 V DC input voltage. This makes them suitable for use as a source for supplying sensors or devices that require less than 24 V (the industry standard) as a fixed voltage, variable, or back-up supply. They can also be used similarly to an analog output terminal to simulate varying signals but have far more output power than a 20 mA channel. The EL9561 has galvanic isolation between the input and output, thus enabling other supply methods such as a potential-free floating supply or cascaded voltages.
Both terminals are designed as analog output terminals with internal, informative feedback measurement of the output voltage and current. The terminals can therefore be integrated into an external control circuit, e.g. to reduce load effects.
The operating status is output via LEDs and process data.
