The ED6002-0009 EtherCAT Terminal enables the connection of serially communicating devices with RS232 communication standard to the automation system. Extensive parameterization options allow flexible adaptation to different communication requirements.

 

The following parameters, among others, can be set via the control or TwinCAT: handshake, baud rate, data format (e.g., 8N1), and other options.

 

In conjunction with the TwinCAT Virtual Serial COM Driver, the terminal can be used as a Windows COM interface, or alternatively with the TwinCAT 3 Modbus RTU Library as a Modbus RTU interface.

 

The ED6002-0009 has two independent channels. Both channels provide a switchable 5 V DC supply for the connected remote station.
