APS4322-0000-0000 | XPlanar tile

The APS4322-0000 XPlanar tile is the basic building block of the XPlanar system. All movers of the type APM4xxx can be operated on this tile. Depending on the mover size, bi-directional or unidirectional operation on a tile is possible. Multiple movers can also be operated on the tile at the same time. Like all XPlanar tiles, the APS4322-0000 is a fully integrated drive and can be flexibly arranged and covered. Additional infrastructure components such as power supply units or port multipliers are no longer required.

The XPlanar tile is particularly easy to install. The tile is aligned exactly to the machine bed via locating pin holes. In addition, it has a speed-controlled fan connection and screw-on points for rear mounting of a fan. A cost-effective solution for dissipating heat in very dynamic applications is thus directly integrated. For the user, this results in a particularly compact system footprint. Overall, the installation of the XPlanar tile can be done easily and quickly.

The power electronics and position detection of the XPlanar tile can be supplied separately with power. This allows the system to be switched motionless – e.g., for tool changes or cleaning work – without losing the position of the movers. After switching the power electronics on again, operation can be resumed without delays due to a homing. The result for the user is increased system availability with reduced downtimes.
