Schnell und standardisiert in die Cloud: TwinCAT IoT.
TwinCAT 3 IoT Communication stellt Basisfunktionen zum Versenden und Empfangen von Daten über das sogenannte MQ Telemetry Transport (MQTT)-Protokoll in Form von SPS-Bibliotheken zur Verfügung.
Dies ermöglicht den Versand und Empfang von Publisher/Subscriber-basierten MQTT-Nachrichten direkt aus der Steuerung heraus, was eine einfache Datenkommunikation zwischen unterschiedlichen Geräten ermöglicht. Zur Absicherung des Transportkanals steht TLS zur Verfügung, welches eine Verschlüsselung der Datenpakete und Authentifzierung am Message Broker ermöglicht. MQTT ist ein offenes und standardisiertes Kommunikationsprotokoll, welches aufgrund seines geringen Overheads gerade im Bereich der schnellen und effizienten Datenübertragung zunehmend an Bedeutung gewinnt. Viele IT-Provider, gerade im Bereich des Cloud Computing, stellen den Zugriff auf ihre Datendienste über dieses Protokoll zur Verfügung.
