AM8000, AM8500 | New ordering option: backlash-free permanent magnet holding brake now also available for additional lengths
For all available flange sizes of the and (increased inertia) servomotor series, additional lengths with a holding brake, both convection-cooled and performance-enhanced by external ventilation (IP20 and IP65), are now available.
The special modular system of the AM8000 series makes it possible to even equip motors with the highest rated outputs (overall length 4) with a holding brake. The holding force of the brakes is adapted to the standstill torque of the powerful motors. All windings of the AM8044, AM8054, AM8064 and AM8074 motor types can be ordered with the reinforced backlash-free permanent magnet holding brake. The choice is made via the corresponding order option in the order code.
For the AM8500 series with increased rotor inertia, the AM8543, AM8553 and AM8563 motor types can now be selected with the order option “backlash-free permanent magnet holding brake”, if required. Here, too, the option for convection-cooled and performance-enhanced motors through external ventilation (IP20 and IP65) is available.
The extended ordering options are also integrated in the . The dimensioning of drive axes, in conjunction with the optimum selection of motor, gear unit, drive controllers and accessories, is the basis for efficient machine design. The TwinCAT 3 Motion Designer is optionally integrated in the TwinCAT automation platform, or it can be used as a stand-alone project engineering tool for mechanical design.
