The function modules of the MO1xxx series are used to acquire binary signals from the field level. Typically, these are signals from mechanical contacts such as normally closed or normally open contacts, from electronic sensors such as inductive proximity switches, from optical sensors, or by other methods that produce a low/high signal in the sense of control technology.
