The TwinCAT Hydraulic Positioning is a PLC library for controlling hydraulic axes. It is manufacturer-independent and replaces external controllers. The most diverse applications and different axis control concepts are supported. The number of axes depends only on the performance of the PC.

The hydraulic library is suitable for

  • valve-controlled hydraulics
  • pump-controlled hydraulics (hybrid axes)
  • control of servo pumps
  • servo-electric axes with the functional scope of the hydraulic library
  • parallel operation with TwinCAT NC PTP/NC I/CNC
  • complex or interpolated movements in interaction with TwinCAT NC I/CNC
  • support of various axis couplings (synchronism, cam plates)

Functionality

  • programming via certified PLCopen motion modules
  • setpoint generators especially for hydraulic applications
  • coupling of the setpoint generators to NC PTP/NC I/CNC is possible
  • free profile design by connecting customer-specific setpoint generators
  • support for non-linear gear units
  • multi-segmented movements (blending)
  • support for all required interfaces via the Beckhoff I/O system
  • support for common fieldbus systems
  • all process values in physical units; force determination for the correct area
  • support for standardized and application-specific controllers for position, force/pressure
  • alternating transition between force and position control
  • automatic identification of valve characteristic curves and axis properties
  • characteristic curve linearization
  • maintenance and commissioning tool for:
    • axis parameterization
    • valve parameterization, incl. characteristic curve
    • controller parameterization
    • triggering of test command
    • display of actual values
