Future-proof control and visualization with Next multi-touch panel PCs

The Next multi-touch Panel PCs from Beckhoff provide a tailor-made answer to the increasing demand for intelligent HMIs for digitalized, networked manufacturing environments. Here, Beckhoff focused on providing cost-optimized solutions, a modern, appealing design, and a wide range of formats and functions. By combining control and visualization in a single device, these fully-fledged industrial PCs significantly reduce both the space they need and the amount of cabling work they involve. At the same time, they demonstrate faster response times and more reliable performance thanks to EtherCAT real-time communication.

The CP46xx and CP47xx Panel PC installation variants cover displays from 7 to 23.8". Sizes from 15.6 to 23.8" are available in the CP56xx and CP57xx mounting arm versions. The latest chip generations guarantee high performance, energy efficiency, and long-term availability. The x86-based CP47xx and CP57xx models use CPUs from the Intel Atom^® x7000RE processor family with up to four cores. In parallel, Beckhoff offers advanced Arm^®-based multi-core CPUs with the CP46xx and CP56xx models, which are ideal for Linux^®-based edge and HMI applications, for example. In the future, Intel^® Core™ processors will round off the top end of the range.

These robust devices in die-cast aluminum housings are made in Germany and feature a slim, ergonomic design and standardized interfaces. Further advantages include complete integration into TwinCAT and high-quality displays with a multi-finger touch function plus anti-glare and anti-ghosting effects. The end-to-end EtherCAT communication (FSoE) for push-button extensions and flexible mounting options for the mounting arm models, using a VESA adapter or round tube, complete the range.

Based on a wealth of experience gathered from over 25 years of in-house panel production, the Next multi-touch panel generation incorporates a complete range of advanced features and technologies to meet current and future challenges at an exceptionally cost-effective price.
