The EL6733-0010 PROFIBUS slave terminal supports the PROFIBUS protocol with all its features and enables the integration of any PROFIBUS devices into the EtherCAT Terminal network. The terminal features the latest PROFIBUS technology thanks to Beckhoff’s PROFIBUS chip, which was developed in-house. This includes a high-precision isochronous mode for axis control and extended diagnostic options. These masters are the only ones that support different polling rates for slaves.

Like the FC3101 PROFIBUS PCI™ card, the EL6733-0010 is used to connect to PROFIBUS networks; however, it saves space since it does not require PCI™ slots in the industrial PC.
