TwinCAT 3 Vision Matching 2D erweitert die Funktionalität TwinCAT Vision um die Möglichkeit, Objekte basierend auf eingelernten Referenzen, Konturen, Merkmalspunkten oder anderen Eigenschaften zu finden und zu vergleichen (Template Matching/Keypoint Detection und Descriptor Matching).
Die Funktionen ermöglichen es, in der Steuerung festzustellen, ob bestimmte Objekte oder Merkmale auf einem Bild vorhanden sind, um z. B. eine Gut-/Schlechtunterscheidung abzuleiten. Genauso können verschiedene Objekte erkannt und sortiert oder im Produktionsprozess individuell behandelt und weiterverarbeitet werden.
