New functions, Vision-specific HMI controls, and image integration in Scope
TwinCAT Vision fully integrates image processing into both engineering and runtime. This means that one system is responsible for configuring the cameras, programming analyses, and diagnostics. These tasks are executed in the same real time in synchronization with all other tasks. This eliminates the need for interfaces and ensures a deterministic system.
Thanks to the Vision Controls which were developed specifically for the TwinCAT HMI, image processing is perfectly integrated into the HMI. This saves time because the controls provide many functions in encapsulated form and are easy to configure.
The latest TwinCAT Vision version also integrates images into the TwinCAT Scope. In addition to recording multiple images, the Scope also offers a new image chart and displays. When it comes to machine diagnostics, users can view these images alongside classical signals for an improved assessment of the machine states.
