The MX-System series | # 4: The system modules

The MS8132-0120-1212 UPS module monitors the 24 V control voltage and detects an undervoltage. In the event of undervoltage, the M12 connectors on the front are powered from the battery. This means that an IPC module as well as an operating panel can be simultaneously supplied with 24 V. Port X2 has the Beckhoff OCT-UPS interface and is able to communicate with a corresponding device via this interface.
