Access to diagnostic data from EtherCAT
The Beckhoff diagnostics app offers mobile, immediately available diagnostic functions for Beckhoff EtherCAT devices. In combination with a compatible diagnostic gateway such as the MA6060 or the ED6060, a smartphone or tablet becomes a powerful diagnostic tool for on-site service calls.
The app clearly displays the EtherCAT devices available in the system – including status, error, and diagnostic data. Thanks to the integrated scoping function, signal curves can be recorded directly on site. It can be used immediately and without additional programming.
Main functions
- automatic detection of supported EtherCAT devices
- display of error and diagnostic codes (CoE 0x10F3)
- device status and live information
- simple signal recording (scoping)
- read-only access for maximum security
Usage areas
- on-site service
- customer support
- equipment testing and troubleshooting
- mobile diagnostics in the field
- complement to TwinCAT engineering tools
Diagnostic gateways
MA6060-0000-0000 | Dongle for diagnostic app
The MA6060 dongle serves as a diagnostic interface between a baseplate and compatible devices such as smartphones or tablets. It enables live transmission of selected diagnostic data from modules connected to the baseplate. Relevant diagnostic data such as the status of the LEDs is displayed, along with selected process data including analog values (4–20 mA) from a pressure sensor or the measured temperature from a Pt100.
ED6060 | EtherCAT Terminal, communication interface, for diagnostic app
The ED6060 EtherCAT Terminal serves as a diagnostic interface between an EtherCAT master and compatible devices such as smartphones or tablets. It enables the live transmission of selected diagnostic data from supported EtherCAT devices connected to the EtherCAT master. Relevant diagnostic data such as the status of the LEDs is displayed, along with selected process data including analog values (4–20 mA) from a pressure sensor or the measured temperature from a Pt100. Only one ED6060 is required per EtherCAT segment.
