TS3900 | TwinCAT Solar Position Algorithm

The TwinCAT Solar Position Algorithm can be used to calculate the exact position of the sun, so that solar systems can track the sun or shading devices in buildings can be controlled without light sensors. The function block for the TwinCAT PLC calculates the angle of the sun using the date, time, longitude, and latitude plus other parameters (depending on the required accuracy) with a maximum uncertainty of ±0.001°.
