The ED6781 EtherCAT Terminal enables the direct connection of M-Bus devices. The M-bus (meter bus) is a fieldbus for consumption data acquisition from electricity, water, gas, and energy meters.
The M-Bus master and the connected M-Bus devices are conveniently configured and parameterized in the TwinCAT 3 System Manager. Programming is performed completely via TwinCAT 3 function blocks.
The ED6781 has an integrated power supply that can operate up to 80 M-Bus devices (standard loads) with a current consumption of 1.5 mA each.
The ED-series EtherCAT Terminals have push-in connection technology which makes wiring easy and tool-free.
