This class provides instruction on the use of the AX8911 (safe option card installed within the AX8xxx-0100 and -0200 drive axis modules). Both hardwired and FSOE implementations, default and custom configurations, are covered. Multiple safe functions are demonstrated to show the benefit and use of the Safe Motion Wizard.

- TwinSAFE logic developers implementing safe motion functions who are comfortable with both TwinSAFE and motion hardware and software fundamentals.

- This course will enable the student to:
- Work with custom and default safety projects of the AX8911
- Identify the motivation for using the Safe Motion Wizard
- Understand TwinSAFE project architectures generated by the Safe Motion Wizard
- Implement working examples of the following safety functions on AX8000 hardware:
- STO (both wired and FSOE, default project)
- STO (custom project)
- STO/SS1
- SLS
- SS2/SOS
Prerequisites
- One of the following is required:
- TR3029, TR3028, or TR3038 (in person)
- Motion Control Learning Path (online at https://learn.beckhoffus.com)
- TR3064 is required
