Industrial PCs with Intel^® Core™ Series 2 processors

Beckhoff is integrating Intel^® Core™ Series 2 processors into C6040 ultra-compact Industrial PCs, C6640, C6650, and C6675 control cabinet Industrial PCs with ATX motherboard, and C5240 19-inchslide-in Industrial PCs. The significant boost in performance this introduces means that you may benefit from the latest CPU innovations and the convergence of automation and the IT world that is typical of PC-based control.

The following Intel^® Core™ Series 2 processors are available:

• Intel^® processor 300, 3.9 GHz, 2 cores
• Intel^® Core™ 3 Series 2 processor 201E, 3.6 GHz, 4 cores
• Intel^® Core™ 5 Series 2 processor 223PQE, 4.0 GHz, 8 cores
• Intel^® Core™ 7 Series 2 processor 253PQE, 3.5 GHz, 10 cores
• Intel^® Core™ 9 Series 2 processor 273PQE, 3.4 GHz, 12 cores
  

The new processors are suitable for all applications with the highest demands on single-core computing power and/or highly parallelized applications that benefit from many powerful cores.

Larger processor selection for existing industrial PCs

The processors are integrated into existing industrial PCs, offering a choice of eleven processors in total. The C6040 ultra-compact Industrial PC with its 132 x 202 x 76 mm dimensions enables space-saving control cabinet installation. Equipped with two slots for M.2 SSDs or high-performance M.2 SSDs, NVM Express™, it is particularly suited to complex axis controls, complex HMI applications, and applications with extremely short cycle times, as well as machine learning and machine vision applications.

The C6640, C6650, and C6675 control cabinet Industrial PCs use an ATX motherboard and offer a wide range of equipment options. While the C6640 is the most compact industrial PC in the series, the C6650 offers two removable frames for hard disks or SSDs. With the C6675, the housing and cooling concept adopted from the C6670 industrial server enables the use of a GPU accelerator card, among other things. A total of 300 watts is available for full-length plug-in cards. Applications in the field of machine learning or vision can thus be realized in an industrial environment.

The C5240 19-inch slide-in Industrial PC is designed for rack mounting and is also equipped with components of the very highest performance class. With four rack units, it offers seven PCI™ and PCIe^® plug-in card slots.
